Planning Trip To Napa Valley, how Many Days Is Ideal ?and How Do I Plan My Trip To Go Alone,i Live In Sunnyvale
I’d say 4 days at the least. Before I moved here I’d stay a week and still didn’t get to see and do everything I wanted. If you do some research and planning on your must-sees, you could squeeze it into 4 days.
I suggest staying in Napa, lodging only gets more expensive upvalley. The Travelodge is downtown and a great starting point for any excursions. And it’s decent and cheap, just remember you won’t be spending a lot of time in your room. Plus, the Visitor’s Center is in the Town Center and they’re very helpful.
If you have any questions, please email me. I live here.

It depends on what you want to do. If you’re just going up to see the vineyards, maybe take a couple of winery tours, maybe eat in a nice restaurant, you can do that all in one day. If you’re going by yourself, that’s a lot of driving, but it still can easily be done in one day. If you go with someone else it’s nice to share the driving.
You would also have time to stop in Napa or St. Helena or Calistoga, walk around a bit and maybe do some shopping.
The Napa Valley is sort of a victim of its own success. On weekends in the Summer the highway is choked with traffic. Its full of fancy-schmancy overpriced restaurants and specialty inns and hotels and health spas. Plus, there are a few wineries that are over 100 years old, but in the last five or ten years maybe two dozen more 100-year-old wineries have been built. ;^D So I would go some time when the traffic was less, like during the week.
