Margrit Biever Mondavi: The Wine Queen of Napa Valley
The name Mondavi is synonymous with greatness in the world of great wines. The Mondavi Winery, located in Napa Valley, California, is considered one of the finest wineries in the world and is visited by hundreds of thousands of people each year. This documentary presents the incredible story of the Mondavis. After WW II Margrit Biever married a U.S. Officer, Robert Mondavi, and after traveling the world, they chose to locate in the Napa Valley, where Robert made up his mind that “this Californian paradise lacked only one thing: an exceptional wine.” Here we get the rare opportunity to see their wonderful story: he takes care of the winery, while she organizes concerts, art exhibitions, promotes young artists, and designs labels for their famous “Opus One.” Together, they cook and entertain visitors who hail from every corner of the world.
